Hi! I’m Rich Jackim. I’ve been an attorney and business broker for over 25 years.
I started my career as a mergers and acquisitions lawyer with a large Wall Street law firm in New York. After 5 years of practicing law I went back to school to earn an MBA in corporate finance and marketing.
Even since then, my focus and passion has been to help business owners and entrepreneurs achieve their goals. In the process I’ve sold over 100 businesses and helped my clients realize over $500 million in personal wealth.
The key to my success was that early in my career I developed a unique business model that combined strategic business consulting and business brokerage services into one practice.
To help spread the word about my practice, I wrote a book called “The $10 Trillion Opportunity: Designing Successful Exit Strategies for Middle Market Business Owners”, to teach other business advisors how they could do the same thing. The book became an Amazon best-seller in 2007, the year it was published, and it still sells well.
That book was so successful it led me to create the Exit Planning Institute. The Institute teaches lawyers, accountants, bankers, financial advisors, and business brokers how to help their clients successfully sell their businesses for top dollar and achieve their goals.
About My Book
In 2012 I sold the Exit Planning Institute to an entrepreneur who has done a fantastic job building and growing the company. Starting the Institute from scratch and then selling it was a remarkable journey that helped me understand what my clients experience when they sell their businesses.
In the process, I realized that for every client I helped, I probably turned away three or four others because they can’t afford the fees a full-service broker charges. In the last two years, several of those folks asked if I could coach them through the process so they could sell their business themselves. I thought that was a great idea, and it worked so well, I started Exit-Pro.
